OLL Middle School Communication

Math Instructional Materials

As the school year has come to a close,  we wanted remind schools about mathematics instructional materials.  All Illustrative Mathematics materials may be recycled, along with any other resources that may still be at your schools.  The Savvas envision Algebra 1 and Geometry 2020 textbooks will need to be sent to the warehouse.  These books will be used at our high schools for newly adopted courses. Please box and label – attention OLL-Haley Hilton/Mayra Pitts. Please complete this form to record what you are sending.  Reach out to Fran Howard or Mayra Pitts with questions.

Instructional Materials Summer Recycling Request

We have secured a date to aid in the removal of out of date, out of adoption, obsolete and other materials not used or further supported in your schools.  Pick up will occur the week of July 18th, 2022. 

Please work with you plant manager to complete the “Recycling Request” and to determine the process for removal that best meets the current needs of your school by Monday June 27th, 2022.  

Note: Please feel free to reach out to the Office for Leading and Learning to inquire about any materials in question. They are up to date on current adoption cycles as well as primary and supplementary materials.

PBIS End-of-Year documents

PBIS End-of-Year documents are due June 15th. Larry and his team are working diligently on entering those schools that have not yet uploaded their ODR submissions. Please ensure that your school has entered all End-of-Year data by logging into the FLPBIS website. If you have any questions, contact Larry Porter laporter@pasco.k12.fl.us

Coaching Smore, Summer Coaching Academy and Coaching Pool Updates

We are sharing a link to our Coaching SMORE.  This is one of the key structures we use to communicate with our stakeholders.  In the SMORE, folks can find links to our  Instructional Coaching Dates 2021-2022.docx, meeting information and links for upcoming events, highlights on best practices around equity, data usage & display, and other key coaching skills.  We also offer nice-to-know information around professional development opportunities and state updates.

The Summer Coaching Academy is designed for both coaches and administrators to work together around coaching in your building.

Sharon Thomas from Jim Knight’s Instructional Coaching Group provides professional learning where admin teams and coaches work together. Each school will join the event for one full day of learning.

Here are sign-ups for teams to choose the date that will best fit their Summer Plans.  Thanks in advance for booking your day and letting us know how many folks from your team will join.  Stipends are provided for School-Based Coaches for this Summer event.

Updates to our Instructional Coaching Pool

As you may know, we have completed the latest round of interviews for the  Instructional Coaching Pool.  We have added a record number of new candidates.  If you have an open coaching position, we have likely been in touch.  Not only will we advertise your open coaching positions to this pool, but we would like to provide you access to preview or review the status of any applicant.
