Legislative Updates and Parent's Bill of Rights Training Pre-Work

In July we will spend time together as administrators learning about and preparing for the implementation of several new legislative actions.  These actions will have impacts on our families, staff and students in a variety of ways.  In order to further support you in leading this work at your school building, we are HIGHLY ENCOURAGING you to closely and carefully read four specific items included below.  Three of the items are the actual bills and the fourth is a summary of this year’s legislation and we encourage you to pay close attention to the summary of SB 2524.

Zearn Summer Learning - What students are participating?

If you would like to review those students who are participating in the summer Zearn sessions, go to the Zearn platform on MyPascoConnect, click Reports, Student Exports, Pace Report, Time Frame (June 1 through present), All Grades, All Classes and click download.  It will generate a CSV which you can filter.  The lessons are per week so you will have to add a column to sum up the weeks to give you a total for the summer.  The dates for the Extreme Summer Challenge are June 1 – July 31.  If you need help, please feel free to contact Jan Anderton at janderto@pasco.k12.fl.us.

3rd School Choice Window

The 3rd school choice window which will be open from June 20th through June 24th.  The school choice website has been updated with the programs that will be on the application. This school choice window will require families new to Pasco or those enrolling a student for the first time to complete the online registration prior to completing the school choice application.  This will help in collecting required enrollment information and easing the registration process for schools. Reach out to @Francesca Howard with any questions.
