ESY Summer 2019 Data form - Action Required

The ESY Summer 2019 Data form will be used by schools with students (home and host) participating in 2019 ESY Summer programs to collect data which will be used by Pasco County’s Office for Technology and Information Services to setup each participating Summer school in the myStudent SIS for State Reporting purposes.

Please enter all applicable data fields completely to ensure accurate State reporting representation and full access to necessary resources across the myStudent platform.

As your school team is preparing for Summer ESY and selecting the students who will be attending summer programs, it is essential to review the directions for set-up in myStudent for Summer / ESY.

Within the directions is a link for information needed for submission by April 19, 2019.  Additionally, the link to that information is here. This information is required to properly capture data for state reporting purposes, as well as, for summer letters to print accurately from the student system for your individual school. In addition, there is a recording walking users through the set up and use of the ESY Tab. The link to the webinar is ESY Set-up Recording.

Prior to ESY, OTIS will be sharing updates on scheduling individual students for Summer/ESY with Data Entry Operators.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the help desk at myStudenthelp@pasco.k12.fl.us.

ESY Allocation Requests - Action Required

Allocation requests are being collected through a web-based application and directions for ESY allocations are attached.  Please submit the allocation requests no later than April 10, 2019.  Contact information for assistance is included in the attached instructions.

Upcoming Principal Meeting - Action Required

For April’s principal meeting we are planning to offer time for leaders to come together to plan, share and learn from one another around four key topics. We are seeking leaders who feel that they have systems, structures, ideas or plans in place for 19-20 in the following areas and who would feel comfortable to assist in facilitating group conversations.

  • Early Release Logistics & Planning: Seeking leader(s) who have built master schedules for those Wednesdays and figured out, initially, how those 8 days will work in terms of specials, lunches, recess, etc.
  • Professional Learning Thought Exchange processing: Seeking leader(s) who are passionate about professional learning planning for principals for 19-20 based on feedback.
  • Compassionate Schools processing and connections: Seeking leader(s) who are confident in their understanding of PBIS, Trauma Informed Care and Social-Emotional Learning who are able to make connections between the three and are making sense of this work in their schools.
  • Allocation Flexibility and Planning: Seeking leader(s) who have experience planning flexibly with allocations

Please email Lea Mitchell if you are willing to co-facilitate a conversation alongside district staff (please, please, please- we need you and know you have awesome ideas and plans in place).

Priority Professional Development Days - Leaders review and take action

During the CNA visits, priority schools will receive a very brief overview of the processes for submitting requests for priority professional development support for the 3 days of PD chosen by the school during July 8-18th.  In addition, each school will be provided a Professional Development Menu of support with companion Description document.  These documents share specific offerings that OLL and SSPS can provide with descriptions of these offerings to give schools insight on opportunities based on upcoming school goals and needs.  These documents can also be found here.  Professional Development

The timeline for submitting needs is included on the PD menu and below:

*Notes:  Feel free to submit needs when ready and confirmations will be shared accordingly

This timeline takes the place of deciding on PD during the April Title I planning days.
Florida Standards Review– Share with teachers

This is your opportunity to be sure your voice is heard. The state is now asking for additional feedback about our state standards that is more in depth than the original feedback survey. We hope leaders, teachers, and parents have the opportunity to share their thoughts about our state standards.
