Sons of the American Revolution Certificate Request

The Sons of the American Revolution award is to be given to 5th grade students who exhibit qualities of dependability, leadership, patriotism, and upright character in speech, and habits. These qualities of citizenship are the same that helped build the United States of America and exemplify the ideals of our founding fathers.  Traditionally, each fifth grade teacher nominated two students to receive the award from their class.  Per the request of our local chapter, they ask that each 5th grade teacher select one boy and one girl recipient from their class that exhibit these characteristics. The chapter would like the award to be held in high regard, not to be given as a blanket award to all students. We are giving each school the discretion to award the certificates based on the needs and qualifications set forth at each school. Please complete this form to request your certificates. If you have any questions, please reach out to Tina Stavrou.

Instructional Materials Re-ordering Process

We are entering the time of year to plan for the re-ordering of instructional materials for the 2022-2023.  Schools are responsible for placing the order for their individual sites. To ensure consistent processes across the district OLL will be hosting workshops to review the order timeline and process.  This workshop is for school administrators and school bookkeepers.   Topics covered:

  • Adoption/procurement template purpose
  • Consumable reorder timeline and guidance

Gating and Discontinue Rules: The Spring Assessment will include updated Gating rules for students meeting the Ambitious Cut Score in grades 1-3. The Benchmark Discontinue rules for K and 1 students that were in place for the Winter assessment are not valid for the Spring Assessment. Your coaches have received this information during their March 28th coaches meeting and will communicate those rules to teachers. This PowerPoint may be used to reference those rules.
