OLL High School Communication
U.S. Presidential Scholar Nominations
The Commission on Presidential Scholars is requesting nominations for the 2021-22 cycle of its Presidential Scholars Program. The mission of this program, established in 1964, is to recognize and honor superior high school seniors. Students are selected on the basis of outstanding scholarship in one of two categories:
1) Students are nominated for the academic component based on SAT/ACT scores.
2) Students nominated for the Career and Technical Education (CTE) component are students
who demonstrate excellence in career and technical education.
All high school seniors graduating between January and August 2022, who are U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents and attend public, parochial or independent schools, as well as those who are home-schooled, are eligible. Please review this this memo for more details prior to selecting your school’s nominees. Submit the CTE nominee and an academic nominee by October 1st using the linked forms. One nominee will be randomly chosen for each award and submitted to the state on behalf of our school district. Please contact Tonia Shook or Pamela Willoughby with questions.

Upcoming Progression Check for EGP
You will be able to access and view the content on the progression checks in MyProgress one week prior to the assessment window opening. Students will be taking the assessment paper/pen and can be found in this folder for you to view now. For the first required progression check, you will have access in MyProgress starting on Wednesday, September 29th. Please use these directions to help you print, scan, and score the assessments to put into MyProgress. All future assessments can be found here.
Progress Monitoring Plans Due Date 10/15
Now that the PMP statuses have been updated, teachers will need to develop an intervention plan in the SSS module under Academic Monitoring in myStudent. This plan should reflect the Tier 3 interventions the student is receiving in ELA and/or Math. You will see that under Event, this is where the Progress Monitoring Plan is generated. Meet with families to complete the PMP and Conference Form for all students with a PMP, prior to the end of Q1, October 15.
