Senior Part-Time Status Requests-Reminder

A current senior can only make a request for part-time status during their last year of enrollment in high school and if they are ahead in credits. The student must also be experiencing a hardship (medical or financial) that makes the request necessary.  If a request is made the following process will be utilized:

  • The administrator and/or school counselor will complete the part-time status request form and send it to Tonia Shook and Lynn Young.
  • The email will include the reason the request is being made.
  • Tonia and Lynn will review the requests weekly and then will send the information and their recommendation to Superintendent’s Staff for final review.
  • Once this process is completed the school will be notified of the approval or denial of the request.

Please remind students of the implications for Valedictorian and Salutatorian status if they are approved for part time status. The requirements for Val/Sal eligibility can be found in the SPP. Please contact Tonia Shook  or Lynn Young  with questions.

Go Fan Digital Ticketing for 2021-22

Pasco County Schools we will only utilize one athletic digital ticketing company for 2021-22 school year, and it will be Go Fan. Some of our schools used Go Fan this past school year, therefore some are familiar with the company and their platform. Regardless, If you were already using Go Fan or your school is new to their platform you will need to fill out the link below to the online (enrollment/update) form:

https://www.jotform.com/huddleinc/district-school-contact-form

Once your school fills out the online form, a representative from Go Fan will contact you to complete the set-up of your schools account. Matt Wicks will send out a copy of the agreement for your records in a separate email.  Once your Go Fan account is set up you can simply email your games schedules the Go Fan customer service rep and they will build out your schools event calendar or you can simply use their new online event portal to add/edit/create/cancel any event you want to sell e-tickets for at your school. If you have any additional questions regarding Go Fan or e-ticketing for events please contact Matt Wicks, Supervisor of Athletics. “

School Programming Application Now Available

Each year the district provides an opportunity for schools to express interest in new school programming. This process begins with an intent to apply to ensure that prior to schools completing the entire application, Superintendent’s Staff has an opportunity to provide input. The goal of this process is to ensure that there is a plan in place for implementation including resources and support prior to implementing and advertising new options to our families and community.

Intent to apply for new school programming

Schools interested in bringing a new program/theme to their school should complete the intent to apply below.  These applications will be reviewed, and schools will be contacted for further discussion. Those schools who move on for Superintendent’s Staff consideration will be sent the full application to complete. Please remember that a planning year is required for all new programs/themes prior to implementation. Below are examples of the categories of programming our district currently offers.

1.      Magnet Programs (ex. PHS Cambridge, GHS IB)

2.      Magnet Schools (ex. BPMS, CENMS, PVES, PVMS, SRK8)

3.      Dedicated Magnet Schools (ex. SMES, WKTHS)

4.      New Academy, Program or Concept without magnet status (ex. CTE, Fine Arts)

Click here to complete the Intent to Apply. The intent is due by August 6th

Please contact Michelle Topham, Fran Howard, or Pam Davis with questions.
